I know there is so much worry, fear and stress going on in the world right now. I’ve been finding myself getting scared of things and thinking things I never had before (crazy conspiracy theories & walking dead type stuff, LOL!).
Anywho…the point is we get to chose how we feel. We can change our thoughts to better feeling thoughts in any moment.
A way that I bring myself back from the craziness of my mind is ask “and so what if it’s true?”
If I’m getting scared about getting the virus, I just ask myself “and so what if I do?”
Then I go through the scenario… “I’ll be sick, but I have a strong immune system. I won’t work for days, maybe weeks and I’ll have to be fully quarantined in my home for weeks, but I like staying home and if I need something I have a great hubby that helps me.” And so on, and so on.
Our fears are just thoughts and we can change them. I know not everyone will be able to calm themselves with my above example, but you have great things and your own examples in your life, use them.
Remember this truth… Life isn’t as scary as many of us are making it to be.
During my work from home time, I’m also working on personal projects. It’s a real blessing, and it’s actually fun. In fact, I’m not sure I’ll be able to go back to how things were before.
Anyone else feeling that way???
Anyway, I just wanted to share this reminder. I know I need it sometimes.
