An Antidote to Overcoming Fear

Sometimes (if not all of the time) in order to reach our goals and the dreams we set out to accomplish, we will have to get out of our comfort zone, do the things we are afraid of doing.
You will never be fully ready until you actually do it. You will never feel fully prepared until you actually do it. So just do it.


I started doing baby steps to help get me over my fears- like public speaking.

I started just by talking about my thing in front of Mike (my hubby).

Next, I started telling a few people whom I feel safe with (that I won’t be judged by) about my thing. I let it marinate in myself, meaning, I had conversations with myself that sounded like: “so you told them. You put it out there. And you’re still okay. Nothing bad has happened. You have survived.”

I kept reminding myself of this until I finally felt safe enough to go to the next level of telling more people.

So those were my baby steps. I do this often. Whatever I’m afraid of doing, I’ll think of a baby step to start myself off.

So if you’re feeling stuck by fear, think of a baby step you can take. Start there. It’s okay if you only take one step a month, just keep moving forward.
