What’s the difference between alignment and vibration and why it matters…

I’ve been listening to Nick Breau quite a bit lately (he’s all about Law of Attraction) and the importance he gives on knowing and understanding the difference between Alignment and Vibration is spot ON.
He says that knowing the difference between the two is THE most fundamental concept for being successful with the law of attraction.

First of all, why am I even talking with you about law of attraction??? 

October 12th was my birthday and I always do a lot of self-reflection during this time so I can get clear on what I want to focus on for the next year of my life. For me, it’s all about living a life that I am excited about living.
I don’t consciously or intentionally practice law of attraction, however, I know it’s a real thing so I try to use it as a tool for self-understanding, and self-reflection.

So, what’s the difference between alignment and vibration? And why does it matter?


Alignment is your level of connectivity between you and your inner being. Alignment is being in agreement with your True Self, your Soul, the Divine part of who you are.
Vibration is your (magnetic) frequency. All things in our universe are constantly in motion, vibrating. Even objects that seem to appear to be stationary are in fact vibrating, oscillating, and resonating at various frequencies. Your vibration then, is your own frequency.

Why this matters…

How YOU FEEL in any given moment impacts your vibration.
Your level of alignment is not what defines manifestation- it’s your vibration that defines your manifestation. 

So, for me, when thinking about and asking the Universe/ Divine for guidance for the next year of my life, I get in alignment by meditating and breath work, and then I journal what comes through. 
I then use that guidance as a compass for adjusting my frequency (the way I want to feel and will feel when I reach the “goal” I have been guided towards).

Do your thing to get in alignment.
If you don’t have a practice, try mine:
Sit in a comfortable position (I sometimes sit in a meditation pose on the sofa, or just sit in a chair at the table since I’m going to write)
I set the intention of being in alignment.
Eyes closed, take about 10 deep breaths through my nose
As I take my breaths, in my mind I am saying: I Know who I Am. I Know what I Am. I Know how I serve. I AM HERE. I AM HERE. I AM HERE.
(Who I Am- an expression of the Divine;
What I Am- Word, the Divine in motion, in manifestation;
How I serve- through my knowing of myself as the Divine, through my vibration/ my expression)
After I feel my vibration change, or my energy shift, ‘m ready to open my eyes and ask questions or go into conversation with my Higher Self. 

After you are in alignment, ask for guidance about your future goals: 
What is the Universe wanting to express through you? What are You wanting to experience? 
I want to experience what it would be like to buy a new home and remodel it. I want to experience going on a family vacation to Disney World. I want to experience what it would be like to enjoy the work I do in the world.
Make sure you are writing all of this out.
At first you may have “surface” level (ego) ideals come up, but keep feeling into your heart and guidance, you’ll get to the deep inner most part of your Self.

The next step is, after you’ve determined what you truly want and what wants to be expressed through you, take time to imagine yourself there.
You’ve achieved that goal/ dream, how do you FEEL? If you’re not clear, close your eyes, take your deep breaths to center yourself, and envision your self in that experience- who are you with? is it a crowd of people? friends, family? are you by yourself? where are you at? what is the scenery like? what are the smells around you in that vision?
Write these feelings down. 

The vision of your goals are what will get you in alignment. Taking time to feel the feelings the goals will give you is what will raise your vibration so you can manifest those goals into your reality. 

I know you may not be goal planning/ life planning right now, but try it out and save this practice for when you are planning. I KNOW it will be life changing for you!
