FUN! It’s Full Moon Time! I love looking back to the New Moon of the same sign (in this case Leo New Moon that happened August 18 2020) to see what came up for me or what I might have started that will be harvested during this Full Moon.
Since talking about Moons are new here, let me start with what a Full Moon is- they are about communication with your true essence, your soul, and higher self. Think in terms of the man turns into a werewolf because that his is true nature/ true essence. Your true nature is trying to reveal itself to you. When the moon is full it is at its brightest and is shedding light on an important area of your life that you most likely started working on during the New Moon around 6 months ago. The area it’s shedding light on is ready to be harvested and the fruits of that harvest are ready for you to enjoy.
The Full Moon is the end of the lunar cycle but it’s not finality, it’s more of a transition from one cycle into another (changing of seasons, of months, an evolving)
Full Moon at 9° Leo
Leo is all about the limelight, being center of attention. Leo is a fire sign and that inner fire burns brightly, and they want to make sure everyone else sees it. Once you’re in a Leo’s inner circle they will also help you shine because their light is that bright. The are very loyal, courageous, confident, have lots of charisma, fun, are generous, and loving. When Leos are working in their shadow, they can become passionately fixed in their ideas, opinions, and principles. They can also become prideful, self-centered, insecure, vain, and jealous.
The Numerology for this Leo Full Moon is 9°. 9 is about also about transitions in the same way that the Full Moon is. The 9 carries all of the wisdom from the previous 8 numbers and therefore is a number of humanitarianism, compassion, kindness, and is looking out for the greater-good of all- physically and spiritually. 9 carries the energy of giving and being of service. Because of the good 9 does, when working in the shadow side, it can become resentful, self-sacrificing, obsessed with solving other people’s problems while neglecting their own, impatient, and defensive.
What is the Full Moon in Leo all about?
I feel like the New Moon in Leo (August 2020) was asking us to really look at our lives and decide where we wanted to shine, meaning uncovering what is truly important to us so that we can place our focus and light there (our inner burning fire). The Full Moon is now asking what did we discover and are we sure we’re ready to let that past go so we can step into the new. Think about this- at the time of the New Moon which was at 26° (which adds up to an 8) we were most likely thinking about material things or things and ideas that we have been taught to hold as important- our minds hadn’t been expanded much yet. Now the Full Moon is at 9°, the number after 8- we are more expanded and now is the time to truly re-evaluate our lives and decide where we want to shine. This can be within any aspect of life and this is where our harvest is.
An Exercise for You
(You should know by now that I love giving exercises!)
Really meditate and contemplate on the question: “In what area of my life is my inner light ready to shine?” Journal what comes up for you, then start looking at your own birth chart to see if it matches what came up in your meditations.
Now Look Things Up
When you look at your birth chart, look to see what HOUSE Leo falls in- this is where it will affect you.
If you’re not sure what each house means, use DuckDuckGo and search “astrology houses”. Read a couple of different blogs/ websites to get an idea. Here’s the thing, you’ll have to use your intuition. When you read something and it resonates with you, note it.
When you’re reading all of that, something will stand out to you, and when it does that’s what you’ll need to pay attention to. Each house has a basic meaning with several of what I call sub-meanings. For Example, the 1st house is about the SELF, but some astrologers will mention physical attributes and others won’t. This is why it’s important that you use your intuition.
Have fun with this. And let me know Where does the Full Moon fall in your chart? And what came up for you in your meditation and searches?
Remember this is meant to be fun, but insightful. I wish you peace, love and happiness. Always.
