Sometimes there are so many things we want to do, have, and experience that we feel are taking too long to attain which will then begin to perpetuate a cycle of feeling overwhelmed, unsuccessful, or like it may never come.
Next time you are having this feeling because you’re not where you want to be or you don’t yet have what you want, take a moment to stop & look around…
What do you want that you already have?
Appreciate where you have been, what you have gone through and what you have worked for. Know that you’ve made it this far in achieving (doing something, having something, experiencing something) much of what you have already set out to do, have, and experience.
Be glad and know.
This would be a good journaling exercise for when you’re feeling down, a kind of gratitude journaling. Here’s the kicker though… note WHY you’re grateful.
